G20 trade ministers deadlocked over industrial overcapacity, says US trade chief

G20 trade ministers failed to agree on tackling excess industrial capacity and eliminating forced labour from supply chains, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Thursday. Speaking during talks in Milwaukee, Greer highlighted overcapacity, a criticism often directed at China, which rejects it. The United States holds this year’s rotating presidency.
